Quickly and efficiently test a wide variety of oxygen delivery devices

Oxygen Concentrator Testing

Introducing a groundbreaking device designed to assess the functionality of oxygen conserver type devices, including portable concentrators. This innovative tool not only allows users to evaluate supplemental oxygen systems for both flow and oxygen concentration, but also monitors the pulse volume delivered with each breath and the inhale pressure needed to activate a pulse. Additionally, it provides comprehensive checks on the flow rate of continuous flow modes. Equipped with an ultrasonic oxygen concentration sensor, this device ensures accurate measurement of the oxygen purity output from concentrators. Here's what our customers say
”The O2 Conserver Checker has been a game changer for POC production and engineering! We used to have three separate meters, none of which were very accurate. The Checker, and its software, easily replaces all three with improved accuracy and precision. Plus, it measures pressure, which we were not capable of previously. Additionally, especially with the software, it provides you with a clear and concise picture of the POC’s performance. The technicians really like the simplicity and ease of use. It has required far less training time for them to become comfortable with the new system. Furthermore, the use of the device test file, and its red and green flags, makes it intuitively clear when the POC is in or out of spec. As an engineer, I greatly appreciate the ability to record raw data and then manipulate it in excel. It’s exceptionally helpful when trying to diagnose various issues, or when performing experiments.”
- Nick Scheer, Manufacturing Engineer
”At DCH, we rely on the Conserver Checker to ensure that all of our oxygen concentrators meet manufacturer specifications before they are sent out to patients. Each unit is thoroughly tested both before it is dispatched and when it is returned. The Conserver Checker has been invaluable in identifying units that, despite reporting correct oxygen purity levels, were actually falling short of required standards. In several cases, the checker revealed discrepancies in oxygen flow rates, which would have gone unnoticed without this tool.
The checker’s ability to measure oxygen purity, flow, and pulse trigger simultaneously streamlines and accelerates the verification process, making it an essential tool in our office.
I would highly recommend this product to any company that manages oxygen concentrators. Checking the concentrator before issuing it out for patient use is the most important step to ensure proper operation. This quick check not only saves time but also prevents unnecessary costs by avoiding technician visits to swap out units due to issues that could have been identified before delivery.”

Companion Software for O2 Conserver Checker
The O2 Conserver Checker Monitor Software is a Windows program that connects to the O2 Conserver Checker over a Bluetooth connection. Measurements that are made on the O2 Conserver Checker are transmitted to the PC and the data is then presented in a table and on real time graphs. Data can also be streamed to a file for saving data.
Suggested test points and pass/fail limits for each test are included for a variety of current portable concentrators. By loading the test parameter file the program will guide the user in testing a product and for each test a pass or fail indication is provided. After all the tests are completed, a report is saved as a PDF file and can be printed.
A demo version of this software along with the installation instructions and operating manual can be downloaded by clicking on the link below. This will ask for contact information and then a zip file which contains all of the files needed can be downloaded. The demo version will operate for one month so you can test it with a unit and try out the various functions. Contact aaron@dirksinstruments.com about a license key.
The Device Report Templates download is an Excel file that is used with the software and contains the suggested tests and pass/fail criteria for each measurement. This file can also be used without the software to allow the user to manually enter the measured values and create test reports. Additional devices can be added as needed and changes to the file can be made to customize it with company logos and other information.
